What We Believe
1. All must be born again, by the Spirit of God, through repentance from sin and acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus is the only way to God the Father, and Heaven. (John 3:3, John 14:6)
2. The Bible, which consists of 66 books, is the only authoritative, Spirit-inspired book that God gave to mankind. It is the one foundation of genuine faith, the standard by which all true spiritual life is established, the anchor that holds firm and that all true doctrine is measured against. Any belief, practice, or religion that does not agree with Scripture, is false.(2 Timothy 3:26, Revelation 22:18, Galatians 1:8-9)
3. All should follow the example of Jesus Christ by being baptized in water, by full immersion, after salvation, and as needed for healing, deliverance, surrender and any other way God wants to encounter people in the water.(Matthew 3:13-17)
4. All believers can walk in the power of God through receiving the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. We acknowledge that the gift of tongues, and all the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today. We encourage their proper use in everyday life. (1 Corinthians 12:1-11, Acts 2:1)
5. We acknowledge that all sickness and disease is a work of the devil. God is good, and Jesus came to destroy these works and set people free. His shed blood, broken body, death on the cross, and resurrection from the dead, all have the power to set us free from every aspect of sin. Jesus paid the full price for the salvation of our spirit, soul and body. (1 John 3:8, Acts 10:38, Romans 8:2, 1 Corinthians 15:56-57)
6. We embrace the five-fold ministry that Jesus gave to His church, when He ascended back into Heaven. We recognize that the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher are all valid ministries for today, and they are needed to bring the Church to full maturity. (Ephesians 4:10-13)
7. We believe that Christians should not forsake the assembling of themselves together, and this means they should belong to a gospel preaching, local church. In that place they will find the teaching, training, discipline and encouragement needed to mature in the faith, serve others, serve their community, and be fully released into their own sphere of authority, and personal ministry.(Hebrews 10:25)
8. We believe that giving is the foundation of genuine Christianity. Jesus gave His life for us, and we are expected to give our lives, time, talents and finances back to Him. By doing this we support our local church, and expands God’s Kingdom. Our tithes belong in the place where our spiritual authority is found, and our time and support belong in the local church we call home. However, love offerings, pledges, gifts, missions and giving to the poor can be sown where God directs. Generosity and joyful giving, are a reflection of the God we serve. (Luke 6:38, Proverbs 11:25)
9. We believe that all recognized ministers, and ministries, should be submitted under valid apostolic authority. They should be transparent at every level to that authority, and open to guidance and correction as needed. They should allow their ministry and message to be examined for doctrinal purity, and their character and relationships to be examined for honesty and integrity. Without this personal accountability, the minister and ministry are not on a sound biblical foundation, and they are likely to go into error.(Galatians 2:1-2)
10. We believe that a life of prayer and a ”first love” relationship with Jesus is what keeps us filled with joy, and willing to surrender all to God, serve Him, love and serve others with a pure heart. It is fiery prayer and “first love” that keeps our passion alive, our heart tender, and our vision clear. We encourage everyone to mature, and stir up the flame of God within. In this way they can be used in amazing ways to set people ablaze for His Kingdom, and keep themselves tenderly in love with their Savior. (Song of Sol. 8:5-8, 1 John 4:19, 1 Thes. 5:17)
11. We believe God ordained men and women to have dominion together on the earth. They are to minister according to the gifts and callings He placed in them. Scripture says there is neither male or female in Christ, but we are all one, as both the Body and Bride of Christ. If you are called by God to minister, we honor that calling. (Gen 1:26-28, Gal 3:28)
12. We believe God created male and female in His image, and this is the standard for all mankind. He is perfect and does not make mistakes when it comes to gender. In creating men and women in the womb, every life is sacred and must be honored according to His blueprint, which is the truth established in our DNA. (Gen 1:27)
13. We believe marriage is a sacred covenant God created, and it is between one man and one woman until the two are parted by death. We believe living together is sin (called fornication), and it is not condoned by God. We believe God permits divorce under specific circumstances, and people are not cut off from their ministry because they may have had a divorce. (Gen 2:24-25, Acts 21:25, Acts 15:19-20)
